Descaling
Have you ever had dishes come out of the dishwasher looking not quite clean? When they come out looking haunted by the ghosts of water droplets? Those are limescale deposits. They also appear in your pipes and on the inside of your water heater. Over time, those deposits will build up and accumulate, making your water heater less efficient. No more energy savings, no more water conservation. This is where descaling comes in. When done properly it flushes out all of those minerals and keeps your water heater more efficient for longer. Keeping money in your product, and water in Utah’s rivers and lakes.

Do I Have to Get a Plumber to Descale?

You always CAN get a professional, but you don’t have to. We have embedded a video how to guide below to help walk you through this process. The instructions should also be in the owner’s manual for the water heater that you received on closing the home.

How Often Do I Need to Descale?
We recommend that you descale your tankless water heater at least annually. However, if you don’t have a water softener in your home, consider doing it quarterly. Remember, preventative maintenance now can help save you from larger headaches later. If you do this right your water heater should last about 20 – 25 years!

We are proud to give you a new Utah home that not only fulfills your dreams but is good for the planet. We say we build the “homes of the future” after all.
