In a previous blog post we called Farmington, the playground of the Wasatch Front. A place where amusement parks, hiking trails, and shopping all mix together to offer a buffet of recreation and entertainment options for everyone. As summer fades into fall, we here at Garbett wanted to help you, explore some of the more seasonal fun options that this Davis County treasure and its surrounding communities have to offer. With that mind, here are some ways you can have some fall Farmington fun.
Scarecrow Walk
A perfect way to kick off your fall festivities, is a visit to the Utah State University Botanical Center in nearby Kaysville. Starting on September 8th, and going to September 18th , you can take a leisurely stroll through the gardens, learn a little bit about the plants that can be grown in Northern Utah and their relationship with our local ecosystem. Reconnect with the agricultural roots of Davis County and see some fun scarecrows designed by some of the local businesses that support these educational efforts and keep this center free to the public.
Frightmares at Lagoon
We here at Garbett know we need to give the celebration of chills and fears its due. Starting September 9th and running through October 30th, Utah’s oldest running amusement park embraces the scarier side of life. With haunted mazes, spooky streetmosphere characters, and a trick or treat trail in addition to all the usual amusement park rides and attractions you can expect at a top tier amusement park. Frightmares will be sure to delight and fright all who come through Lagoon’s doors.
Peck Farms Pumpkin Patch
