Southern Utah is home to fantastic outdoor recreation opportunities, a tony-award winning Shakespeare festival, a history tied to Hollywood all wrapped in a stunning desert backdrop. The four counties that make up the Wasatch Front (Weber, Davis, Salt Lake, and Utah) offer amazing sports venues, a strong job market full of innovative industries, five universities, a thriving arts scene and plenty of communities to raise a family in. But there is an emerging region in Utah where you can have many of these same things with a more laidback environment. Just a 45 minute drive from Salt Lake City and comprising of Wasatch and Summit counties, Park City is the most famous mountain town in this area. However, the Wasatch Back is also anchored by Heber City and Midway, along with other growing mountain and farm towns. Including the 2002 and upcoming 2034 Winter Olympics. But there is more to this region than skiing. Many reservoirs, cool alpine lakes, and state parks create unparalleled opportunities for recreation even when the snow has melted.
