What Are Townhomes?
Townhomes are a sets of attached single-family homes. Usually with a small front yard, or other type of landscaping. They usually offer 1 – 3 bedrooms and have between 900 – 1,900 square feet. Although there are of course, exceptions to this. Most importantly, when you own a townhome you own the home and the land underneath your home. But the stats only tell what a townhome physically is. It doesn’t do a lot to tell you why you should buy a townhome.

Brand New Homes Where You Want to Live
Townhomes tend to be built in areas that were already popular to live in or are on their way to becoming popular. Whether that’s because they’re close to jobs, recreation and restaurants, or they were yesterday’s bedroom communities and people want to move back home. They’re built where there is demand for housing. As a side effect, they allow homebuyers the opportunity to buy something brand new for the same cost as an older home. An older home that might have hidden costly repairs waiting to ruin your financial plans.
